Designing pure adrenaline
This project defines the visual direction for “Toca Pagar” by Elena Vargas, translating emotional tension into a fast-paced, nocturnal visual language. Built around movement, friction, and impact, the piece constructs a world where speed and atmosphere become narrative drivers.
Set between urban nightscapes and industrial interiors, the direction leans into contrast — darkness interrupted by bursts of light, control giving way to chaos. The visuals don’t soften the track’s intensity; they amplify it, shaping an experience driven by adrenaline, heat, and release.
THE CONCEPT
The video translates emotional tension into movement and combustion. It begins with a high-speed chase through the night — restless, unresolved — until everything converges inside an industrial rave, where that contained energy finds release.
From there, the music becomes a catalyst. Sound turns physical, igniting the space: light, smoke, and fuel react as if charged by it, spreading intensity beyond the walls of the rave and into the city itself. A chain reaction where rhythm fuels heat, and emotion takes over the environment, pushing everything to the edge.
THE PROCESS
The project was built by progressively layering intensity across sequences, starting from a reduced visual base expanded through AI. Rather than constructing static scenes, the focus was placed on momentum — designing each shot to carry movement, direction, and escalation.
Environments, vehicles, and crowd dynamics were developed in parallel, allowing interactions between elements to feel continuous and reactive. Light, smoke, and color were used as active components within the composition, reinforcing the sense of heat and acceleration throughout the piece.
Each shot was then constructed individually, combining generated environments, characters, and effects into fully animated sequences. This workflow allowed precise control over composition and continuity, shaping a cohesive visual language across the entire piece.
